The first major project under the Druet Design name, and it came with an unusual brief: a kitchen built around a fish tank. Not beside one — around it. The clients had a specific vision, and the design had to earn it. That meant integrating a hidden cleaning station and concealing the hot water tank inside the cabinetry, so the finished kitchen looks intentional rather than worked around.
It’s a family home with young kids, which shaped the material choices from the start. The colours and finishes were picked for durability — things that can take daily life without showing it. The pantry and mudroom got the same treatment: built to be used hard, designed to still look good doing it.
